The Vision
In February 2017, Gloria Miller of Arrow Head International hosted a gathering called "Overthrow 2017" in Mount Barker, Western Australia.
In 2014, Gloria Miller had another vision where she saw a spiritual river flowing from the East (where the dateline is), flowing all the way to Jerusalem. But, in the middle of the river was the nation of Australia. Australia, was hindering the flow of the river of God. This vision revealed to Gloria that there was a blockage over the nation of Australia. A national, spiritual blockage.
So in February this year, and following the promptings of God, Gloria hosted "Overflow 2017" with the purpose of clearing that blockage over Australia. There has been several confirmations of God clearing the blockage over the nation during and since the event took place. One of the things hindering the nations of Australia was a "root of bitterness". There was great unity and great partnership with all the people that were involved. (contact gloria@arrowheadministries.org for more information).
During the gathering in Mount Barker, it was revealed to Gloria that Australia as a nation was suffering the effects of a broken heart. Having lived through several situations and experiencing a broken heart, Gloria understands how difficult it is for Australia as a nation living in the climate of brokenness.
The history of our nation tells the story of broken heartedness on several fronts.
We have our First Nations people who suffered great distress and brokenness as a result of being removed from the places of their habitation and countries within Australia, many were killed in the early history, many were dispossessed not only physically but spiritually too. Children were taken and mothers would have wept for their children. Fathers and sons were imprisoned and emasculated and therefore leaving a generation of mothers to raise their families while the fathers were absent from their roles in the families.
There are also the convicts who were brought to Australia for simple things like stealing a loaf of bread or ladies clothing from of a clothesline. Petty crimes that gave England the perfect opportunity to get rid of it's people and farm them off to a distant land. A harsh sentence that would have broken many hearts and families, not only in Australia but also in England.
We also have the children that were shipped out to Australia, when there was a war in England. I don't know the full story, but many of those children never returned to their homeland and still they are without families and still trying to find who they really are. Some of the children were sent to a place near Perth called Fairbridge.
And lastly but probably not all, there were all these farmers that came out to Australia because the government promised them, that they would give them land and a home to go to. And when they arrived there was no transport, so they got trucks and the women and children were put on the trucks and the men had to walk miles and miles. they had no homes so they had to live in tin sheds and then when they finally got the farm established they lost their farms because they didn't have a one pound note to give to the bank. So the banks waited until they developed the land and then the families lost their farms because the banks took it and they lost everything. This happened to many, many people and it was promised by the government of Australia. A form of slave labour... the past re-inventing itself in our nations... they owned nothing ... did all the work ... the government was not honest and did not provide what they said they would.
